We are delighted to update you today on this year's pumpkin harvest! It was a season with many challenges, but in the end, we can look back on a successful harvest.
Rain at the end – but sunny harvest days
After a hot and dry summer, autumn surprised us with plenty of rain in recent weeks. The fields were often wet, and it was a challenge to find the perfect time for harvesting. But we managed to hit just the right sunny days to bring the pumpkins in from the field. Despite the difficult weather conditions, we are grateful that we could complete the harvest under such good conditions.
The Seeds – Drying and Storage
Now that the pumpkins are safely harvested, the focus is on the pumpkin seeds. These are carefully cleaned and dried so that they can develop their full aroma. After drying, the seeds are stored, where they are prepared for pressing. This way, we can ensure that we can press and bottle fresh Styrian pumpkin seed oil for you at any time.
Gratitude and Anticipation
Despite the challenges of this season, we are more than satisfied with the quality of our pumpkins and are already looking forward to offering you the new Styrian pumpkin seed oil from the fresh harvest.
